Badrinath Temple, Uttarakhand

Situated close to the Alaknanda River, the abode of Lord Badrinath is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. This holy shrine of Lord Vishnu is one of the Char Dhams of Hindu religion.
It is also one of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites (comparatively minor pilgrimage sites). The temple is one of the 108 temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Divya Desams), which finds its mention in the works of Tamil saints who existed in the 6th to 9th century.
The ancient abode of Lord Vishnu can be visited only between the months of April and November because the temple remains closed during the other months due to harsh weather conditions. Two of the most famous festivals related to the temple are –
Mata Murti-Ka-Mela – A celebration where Lord Badrinath’s mother is worshipped in the month of September.Badri-Kedar Festival – A celebration in the month of June for 8 days in the temples of Badrinath and Kedarnath. It seeks to educate people on the local traditions of Uttarakhand.

श्री सांवलिया जी की प्रतिमाओं का प्रकटीकरण :-   सन 1840 में तत्कालीन मेवाड राज्य के समय उदयपुर से चित्तोड़ जाने के लिए बनने वाली कच्ची सड़क के निर्माण में बागुन्ड गाँव में बाधा बन रहे बबूल के बृक्ष को काटकर खोदने पर वहा से भगवान् कृष्ण की सांवलिया स्वरुप तीन प्रतिमाएं निकली। किवंदती के अनुसार ये मुर्तिया नागा साधुओं द्वारा अभिमंत्रित थी जिनको आक्रमणकारियों के डर से यहाँ जमीन में छिपा दिया गया। कालान्तर में वहा बबूल का एक वृक्ष बना। वृक्ष की जड़ निकालते समय वहां भूगर्भ में छिपे श्री सांवलियाजी की सुंदर एवम मनमोहक तीन प्रतिमाएं एक साथ देखकर मजदूर व स्थानीय व्यक्ति बड़े आनंदित हुए।  भादसोड़ा में सुथार जाति के अत्यंत ही प्रसिद्ध गृहस्थ संत पुराजी भगत रहते थे। उनके निर्देशन में इन मूर्तियों की सार संभाल की गयी तथा उन्हें सुरक्षित रखा गया। एक मूर्ति भादसोड़ा गाँव ले जाई गयी जहाँ भींडर ठिकाने की और से भगतजी के निर्देशन में सांवलिया जी का मंदिर बनवाया गया। दूसरी मूर्ति मण्डफिया गाँव ले जाई गयी वहा भी सांवलियाजी मंदिर बना कालांतर में जिसकी ख्याति भी दूर-दूर तक फेली। आज भी वहा दूर-दू

एलोरा गुफाएं

एलोरा या एल्लोरा (मूल नाम वेरुल) एक पुरातात्विक स्थल है, जो भारत में औरंगाबाद, महाराष्ट्र से 30 कि॰मि॰ (18.6 मील) की दूरी पर स्थित है। इन्हें राष्ट्रकूट वंश के शासकों द्वारा बनवाया गया था। अपनी स्मारक गुफाओं के लिए प्रसिद्ध, एलोरा युनेस्को द्वारा घोषित एक विश्व धरोहर स्थल है। एलोरा भारतीय पाषाण शिल्प स्थापत्य कला का सार है, यहाँ 34 "गुफ़ाएँ" हैं जो असल में एक ऊर्ध्वाधर खड़ी चरणाद्रि पर्वत का एक फ़लक है। इसमें हिन्दू, बौद्ध और जैन गुफा मन्दिर बने हैं। ये पाँचवीं और दसवीं शताब्दी में बने थे। यहाँ 12 बौद्ध गुफाएँ (1-12), 17 हिन्दू गुफाएँ (13-29) और 5 जैन गुफाएँ (30-34) हैं। ये सभी आस-पास बनीं हैं और अपने निर्माण काल की धार्मिक सौहार्द को दर्शाती हैं। एलोरा के 34 मठ और मंदिर औरंगाबाद के निकट 2 कि॰मि॰ के क्षेत्र में फैले हैं, इन्हें ऊँची बेसाल्ट की खड़ी चट्टानों की दीवारों को काट कर बनाया गया हैं।अपनी समग्रता में २ समग्र६ फीट लम्बा, १५४ फीट चौड़ा यह मंदिर केवल एक खंड को काटकर बनाया गया है। इसका निर्माण ऊपर से नीचे की ओर किया गया है। इसके निर्माण के क्रम में अनुमानत: ४०
